| Denys Wells RBA (Private collection) Cleaning can take many forms. This painting was partially 'restored' before entering the studio. The removal of a considerable amount of unnecessary filler and restoration was required before we could start our work. This included the removal of surface dirt, old filler and restoration, and discoloured varnish. The painting was lined, the damages filled and retouched, and then varnished.
